The main concept of the card game is to be assigned cards adding up to 21. Every player is assigned two cards. When a black jack player is dealt a nine or less and an Ace they’ve been handed a soft hand. When the blackjack player is dealt no Ace it is referred to as a hard hand. Once the cards have been handed to every player at the blackjack table, including the dealer, every gambler is provided the chance to make one of 6 decisions:

Requesting another card (Hit): When a black jack player announces "hit" the dealer will give him another card, if the addition of that card causes the value of the hand to exceed twenty-one the blackjack player will have busted and that’s the end of the game, if the card pushes the total to twenty-one the player is the winner and if the value of the hand hasn’t yet reached twenty-one they are still in the game.

Keeping the hand you’ve been dealt: If a player is satisfied with the hand they’ll hold. As soon as this has happened the croupier will display their cards and the black jack player who has accumulated 21 or the nearest to 21 will come away with a win.

Doubling Down: A black jack player may ask to double down which increases the wager by one hundred percent they have placed. As soon as you have taken this action you can only be given 1 additional card. The specifics of doubling down are normally specified by the blackjack table or casino game rules so prior to gambling make sure you are comfortable with the casino game rules. If you are gambling at an online betting house this is normally very simple.
