I have played millions of hands of vingt-et-un. I started sneaking into the casinos when I was still underage. I have gambled on online chemin de fer, I have counted cards, and worked as part of a team for a little while. Given all that I have still lost an abundance of money at 21. The casinos have made it basically impossible to beat the house.
I still like the game and wager on a frequent basis. Over this time period I have bet on a variation of chemin de fer called "The Take it Leave it Method". You certainly won’t get flush with this tactic or defeat the house, nonetheless you will experience a lot of fun. This method is built on the idea that chemin de fer appears to be a game of streaks. When you’re hot your hot, and when you’re not you are NOT!
I bet with basic strategy chemin de fer. When I do not win I wager the lowest amount allowed on the subsequent hand. If I do not win again I wager the lowest amount allowed on the subsequent hand again etc. Whenever I win I take the payout paid to me and I wager the original wager again. If I win this hand I then keep in play the winnings paid to me and now have double my original wager on the table. If I succeed again I take the payout paid to me, and if I succeed the next hand I leave it for a total of four times my original wager. I continue wagering this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I do not win I lower the wager back down to the original sum.
I am very disciplined and do not "chicken out". It gets very fun at times. If you win a few hands in a row your wagers go up very quickly. Before you know it you are gambling $100-200/ hand. I have had great streaks a number of times now. I left a $5 table at the Flamingo a few years back with $750 after 20 minutes using this tactic! And a number of months ago in Sin City I left a table with $1200!
You need to understand that you can give up a lot faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more thrilling. And you will be surprised at the streaks you see playing this way. Here is a chart of what you would wager if you kept winning at a 5 dollar game.
Bet five dollar
Take five dollar paid to you, leave the original five dollar wager
Bet five dollar
Leave $5 paid to you for a total bet of ten dollar
Bet 10 dollar
Take ten dollar paid-out to you, leave the first $10 wager
Bet ten dollar
Leave 10 dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of $20
Wager $20
Take 20 dollar paid-out to you, leave the first 20 dollar bet
Bet 20 dollar
Leave twenty dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of 40 dollar
Bet $40
Take 40 dollar paid-out to you, leave the initial $40 bet
Wager $40
Leave $40 paid to you for a total wager of $80
Wager $80
Take $80 paid to you, leave the first $80 wager
Wager 80 dollar
Leave eighty dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of 160 dollar
Bet one hundred and sixty dollar
Take one hundred and sixty dollar paid-out to you, leave the first $160 wager
If you left at this instance you would be up 3 hundred and 15 dollars !!
It is difficult to go on a run this long, but it will happen. And when it does you can’t deviate and lower your bet or the end result will not be the same.
