I have gambled on millions of hands of chemin de fer. I began working my way into the casinos when I was 16. I have enjoyed online vingt-et-un, I have counted cards, and worked as part of a team for a short while. With all that said I have still lost a lot of funds at twenty-one. The gambling dens have made it basically impossible to beat the house.
I still enjoy the game and bet on a frequent basis. Over the years I have played a type of 21 called "The Take it Leave it Method". You certainly won’t get loaded with this method or defeat the house, still you will have a lot of fun. This method is based on the idea that chemin de fer seems to be a game of runs. When you’re hot your hot, and when you are not you are NOT!
I bet with basic strategy chemin de fer. When I don’t win I wager the lowest amount allowed on the successive hand. If I do not win again I wager the lowest amount allowed on the next hand again etc. Once I win I take the payout paid to me and I wager the initial bet again. If I win this hand I then keep in play the winnings paid to me and now have double my original bet on the table. If I succeed again I take the payout paid to me, and if I win the next hand I leave it for a total of 4 times my original bet. I continue betting this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I don’t win I lower the action back down to the original bet.
I am very strict and never back out. It gets very thrilling sometimes. If you win a few hands in sequence your wagers go up very quickly. Before you know it you are betting $100-200/ hand. I have had awesome streaks a number of times now. I left a $5 table at the MGM a number of years back with $750 after 45 minutes using this technique! And a couple of weeks ago in Vegas I left a game with $1200!
You must understand that you can give away a great deal faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more exciting. And you will be surprised at the runs you see playing this way. Here is a chart of what you would bet if you continue winning at a 5 dollar table.
Bet five dollar
Take five dollar paid to you, leave the initial 5 dollar wager
Bet $5
Leave five dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of $10
Bet ten dollar
Take 10 dollar paid to you, leave the first 10 dollar wager
Bet $10
Leave $10 paid to you for a total bet of $20
Wager 20 dollar
Take $20 paid-out to you, leave the first 20 dollar bet
Bet twenty dollar
Leave twenty dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of 40 dollar
Bet 40 dollar
Take 40 dollar paid to you, leave the original forty dollar bet
Wager $40
Leave 40 dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of 80 dollar
Bet eighty dollar
Take 80 dollar paid-out to you, leave the initial $80 bet
Wager $80
Leave $80 paid-out to you for a total wager of one hundred and sixty dollar
Wager $160
Take $160 paid to you, leave the initial $160 wager
If you departed at this moment you would be up $315 !!
It’s hard to go on a run this long, but it can happen. And when it does you can’t deviate and lower your wager or the final result won’t be the same.
