I have wagered on countless of hands of chemin de fer. I started sneaking into the casinos when I was 16. I have bet on online 21, I have counted cards, and worked as part of a team for a little while. Given all that I have still lost a lot of money at twenty-one. The casinos have made it almost impossible to defeat the game.
I still like the game and play on a frequent basis. Over the years I have gambled on a variation of vingt-et-un called "The Take it Leave it Method". You will not get rich with this method or defeat the house, still you will have an abundance of fun. This tactic is built on the idea that chemin de fer seems to be a match of runs. When you’re on fire your hot, and when you are not you are NOT!
I bet with basic strategy 21. When I lose I wager the lowest amount allowed on the successive hand. If I do not win again I wager the table minimum on the next hand again etc. Once I win I take the payout paid to me and I bet the initial wager again. If I win this hand I then leave the winnings paid to me and now have double my original bet on the table. If I succeed again I take the payout paid to me, and if I win the next hand I leave it for a total of four times my original bet. I keep betting this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I lose I return the wager back down to the original bet.
I am very strict and do not back out. It gets extremely enjoyable on occasion. If you succeed at a few hands in sequence your wagers go up very fast. Before you know it you are gambling $100-200/ hand. I have had great streaks a number of times now. I left a $5 table at the Luxor a few years back with $750 after 30 mins using this technique! And a number of days ago in Macau I left a game with $1200!
You have to understand that you can lose a lot faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more exciting. And you will be aghast at the streaks you witness betting this way. Here is a guide of what you would bet if you kept winning at a five dollar table.
Bet 5 dollar
Take five dollar paid to you, leave the original five dollar bet
Wager $5
Leave $5 paid-out to you for a total wager of $10
Bet ten dollar
Take 10 dollar paid to you, leave the original $10 bet
Wager $10
Leave ten dollar paid to you for a total wager of twenty dollar
Wager 20 dollar
Take twenty dollar paid-out to you, leave the initial $20 wager
Wager 20 dollar
Leave 20 dollar paid to you for a total bet of 40 dollar
Wager 40 dollar
Take $40 paid to you, leave the initial 40 dollar wager
Wager forty dollar
Leave forty dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of $80
Bet $80
Take eighty dollar paid to you, leave the first 80 dollar wager
Bet $80
Leave eighty dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of one hundred and sixty dollar
Wager $160
Take $160 paid-out to you, leave the initial one hundred and 60 dollar bet
If you departed at this point you would be up three hundred and 15 dollars !!
It’s herculean to go on a streak this long, but it will happen. And when it does you must NOT deviate and lower your wager or the final result won’t be the same.
